A design for the cases that do not appear in the data sheet

Pumps are designed for one operating point. Operation does not stick to it. A valve is closed, a vessel runs empty, the solids content of a batch lies outside what was expected — and suddenly an operating situation has turned into a damage case.

The HODD ranges grew out of this observation. Instead of optimising a narrow operating point further, the patent-pending drive technology aims to render the typical fault conditions harmless: dry running, a closed suction or discharge line, changing solids contents.

Hydraulic instead of air-operated

Double diaphragm pumps are traditionally driven by compressed air. That is proven but energetically unfavourable: compressed air is one of the most expensive forms of energy in the plant, and a considerable part of the energy applied is lost between compressor and consumer.

The hydraulic drive transfers the energy directly to the diaphragms. That lowers the energy demand and at the same time makes the diaphragm movement guidable rather than merely driven by a cushion of air — with effects on service life and process stability.

Made in Germany

Development and manufacturing take place in Germany. Several core technologies of the drive are patent pending.

The programme is deliberately lean: two ranges built on the same principle. Model TP as a transfer pump for difficult media and Model FP as a filter press pump for demanding filtration. Sizing is done on an application-specific basis — not from a catalogue.
