Privacy

We process personal data only as far as this is necessary to operate this website and to handle your enquiries. This website sets no cookies, embeds no analytics or tracking services and loads no content from third-party servers.

Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

HODD Pumpen GmbH, Heiligenlück 9, 56235 Ransbach-Baumbach, Germany. Phone: +49 2623 606095-0, email: info@hodd-pumpen.de. Represented by the managing directors Thomas Mohr and Christian Steinbrecher.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the statutory conditions requiring such an appointment do not apply.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When a page is requested, Vercel processes technical access data as a processor on our behalf.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. As a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out, such transfers are based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses pursuant to Article 46 (2) (c) GDPR.

The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing this website reliably and securely.

Server log files

Every time a page is requested, data transmitted by your browser is collected automatically. This comprises in particular:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • address requested and volume of data transferred
  • notification of successful retrieval
  • browser type and version as well as the operating system used
  • previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted

Purpose and retention of log files

This data is technically necessary in order to deliver the website, ensure its stability and detect and defend against attacks. It is not combined with other data sources and not evaluated for advertising purposes.

The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the stated purpose, at the latest after 30 days.

Contact form and enquiries

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form or by email, we process the details you provide in order to handle that enquiry. Only your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and your message are mandatory. All further details are voluntary:

  • company and phone number
  • industry and pumped medium
  • solids content, flow rate and required pressure

Legal basis and retention of enquiries

Where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, the legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. In all other cases we base the processing on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

We delete your details once the matter has been concluded and no statutory retention obligations apply. Where an enquiry leads to a business transaction, the commercial and tax retention periods of six and ten years respectively under Section 257 HGB and Section 147 AO apply.

Delivery of form messages

To deliver form messages to our mailbox we use the Resend service provided by Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. Processing takes place in the provider's EU region (Ireland).

Resend acts for us as a processor pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. Where a transfer to the USA takes place in an individual case, it is safeguarded by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.

Protection against form abuse

To fend off automated bulk submissions, the form contains an additional field that is invisible to humans, and we limit the number of submissions per IP address. For this purpose the IP address is held solely in the server's memory, is not stored and is discarded automatically after a short time.

The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in protecting our systems against abuse.

Cookies, tracking and third-party content

This website sets no cookies and uses neither analytics, audience measurement nor advertising services. A cookie banner is therefore not required.

The Archivo typeface used is served from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party server; your IP address is not transmitted to any third party in this context.

No maps, videos, social network buttons or other third-party content are embedded.

Encryption

For security reasons this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that your browser's address bar begins with “https://” and displays a padlock symbol. While encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Your rights

You have the following rights towards us at any time regarding your personal data:

  • access to the data processed (Article 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Article 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing (Article 21 GDPR)

Right to object and to lodge a complaint

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. An informal message to the contact details given above is sufficient.

Irrespective of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.

No automated decision-making

Automated decision-making including profiling pursuant to Article 22 GDPR does not take place.

Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or to the services used make this necessary. The version published here applies in each case.
